Terms of Use
Last updated at Apr 30, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of our URL shortening service ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Use of Service
- The Service allows you to shorten URLs for lawful purposes only.
- Only HTTPS URLs are accepted. Plain HTTP links are not permitted to ensure the safety of all redirected traffic.
- All URLs are encrypted in storage for security and privacy.
Free Access
Service offers free usage. Users may shorten and share URLs without creating an account or paying any subscription fees. Users are limited to a maximum number of shortened URLs per time period.
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content of URLs you shorten.
- Do not use the Service to distribute illegal or malicious content.
Data Handling
- IP addresses are anonymized to protect your privacy.
- Original URLs are stored encrypted.
- Shortened URLs are hashed for secure identification.
Prohibited Activities
- Distribute malware, spam, or illegal content.
- Attempt to bypass security or abuse the Service.
Authentic Short Links
All short links created by this Service use the format https://lur.to/* . Any link that claims to originate from lur.to but does not use HTTPS, or uses a different domain, was not created by this Service and should be treated as potentially dangerous. Do not follow such links.
Disclaimer of Warranties
- We do not guarantee that all links will remain accessible or available.
- We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of any third-party links or external resources.
We use Google Safe Browsing to detect potentially unsafe links and may display warnings labeled "Advisory provided by Google". Google works to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information about unsafe web resources. However, Google cannot guarantee that its information is comprehensive and error-free: some risky sites may not be identified, and some safe sites may be identified in error.
Service Right
- We reserve the right to add, update, suspend, or terminate access to the Service for abuse or violation of these Terms.
- We may remove any URL that is found to be linked to abusive content, violent activity, or involvement with militant or otherwise dangerous organizations.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union (EU).
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. By continuing to use the Service after such updates, you acknowledge and accept the revised Terms.
